The project “Democratic values in education and their implementation in society” in which IRID members were the leader of the project, aimed to reveal the perceptions of youth about democratic values, to help develop the understanding of democracy by first- and second-year students of the faculties of social sciences of Macedonia, Kosovo, and Albania. In this regard, good practices and experiences of teaching and learning from the Swiss reality were used. We tried to break down the views and attitudes of students through scientific analysis, using numerous research methodologies and techniques, which gave a clear picture of the factual state of juvenile perceptions of values in the three countries involved in the research. The project was financed by NEZI – PH Zürich – Zentrum IPE and University of Zurich Higher Pedagogical which was during 2016-2017, in the three countries, North Macedonia, Albania, Kosovo.

The project “Democratic values in education and their application in society” was a continuation of the previous project realized with colleagues from the University of Zurich, Higher Pedagogical School (PHZ), entitled Netzwerk Erst-, Zweit-, Interculture (NEZI) – (Netzwerk albanischer Sprachraum) / Network Culture first, second and intercultural (Network for Albanian territories) ”, which continuously provide support in strengthening democratic values and increasing capacity for their quality implementation in these three societies
